Esther Edwards Burr was the mother of Aaron Burr Jr. and the wife of Aaron Burr Sr.

Biography[]
Esther Edwards was born on February 13, 1732 in Northampton, Province of Massachusetts to parents Jonathan and Sarah Edwards. She married Aaron Burr Sr. in 1752 and gave birth to two children: Sarah in 1754 and Aaron Jr. in 1756. Esther began writing a journal in October 1754 which recorded her perspectives on her daily activities as well as current events during the time.
On April 7, 1758, Esther died at the age of 26 from smallpox after being ill for a few days, leaving both of her children as orphans since her husband had died less than a year earlier.
